The Catawba Nation Gaming Commission executive team is made up of five Commissioners, an Executive Director, and Director of Compliance. The executive team is responsible for compliance of Catawba Nation and IGRA laws and regulations that fall upon the Catawba Gaming Commission.

Matt Stewart
Chairman
Matt Stewart was appointed as the first Tribal citizen to the Catawba Nation Gaming Commission. A native of Rock Hill, SC, Matt resides in Eagle River, AK. He has extensive experience in the information technology industry, working in many capacities as a software engineer and most recently as an Engineering Manager in enterprise identity management and security.
Whitney Boggs
Commissioner
Whitney Boggs was appointed in April, of 2022 to the Catawba Indian Nations Gaming Commission. She is a Catawba Citizen and a native of Rock Hill, SC. Whitney currently lives in Columbia, SC where she also earned her bachelor’s degree from University of South Carolina, in 2008. She has extensive experience in banking and government regulations regarding banking.

Emily Harris
Director of Compliance
Emily has worked for Catawba Nation for four years, approximately two years as a Division Director. She joined the Commission Division in July 2021 where she has worked with licensing, compliance, and surveillance.
In her role as Interim Director of Compliance, Emily works with a round-the-clock team to ensure that the assets of the nation are protected. The Compliance Department ensures the ordinances, compact, and policies are being followed.
