The Catawba Nation Gaming Commission executive team is made up of five Commissioners, an Executive Director, and Director of Compliance. The executive team is responsible for compliance of Catawba Nation and IGRA laws and regulations that fall upon the Catawba Gaming Commission.

Whitney Boggs
Chairwoman

Whitney Boggs was appointed in April, of 2022 to the Catawba Indian Nations Gaming Commission. She is a Catawba Citizen and a native of Rock Hill, SC. Whitney currently lives in Columbia, SC where she also earned her bachelor’s degree from University of South Carolina, in 2008. She has extensive experience in banking and government regulations regarding banking.

Billy Canty
Vice-Chairman

Billy Canty is a citizen of the Catawba Indian Nation and originally from Rock Hill, SC. He has a great love for the Nation and has a passion to see the Tribe grow and succeed. He obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration double concentrating in Management and Marketing from the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina. He has worked for the Catawba Indian Nation in Human Resources and has 10 years of experience within the Human Resources field. He was appointed to the Catawba Nation Gaming Commission in April 2022 and looks forward to contributing to the integrity of the tribe in his role as a Commissioner.

Matt Stewart
Commissioner

Matt Stewart was appointed as the first Tribal citizen to the Catawba Nation Gaming Commission. A native of Rock Hill, SC, Matt resides in Eagle River, AK. He has extensive experience in the information technology industry, working in many capacities as a software engineer and most recently as an Engineering Manager in enterprise identity management and security.
